Church Leadership

Marge Neal, Interim Pastor

I have always loved being a pastor; leading worship, offering the sacraments are very meaningful for me, but acting as an interim pastor is a whole other level.  This transition time is when the congregation and its’ people can be at their most vulnerable state.  Losing a beloved pastor can devastating, what do we do now, how will we proceed, and there will be grief of the relationship lost, there may even be anger; and in this liminal time, I am here to speak God’s word of hope, peace, and love.  All the while, challenging you to deepen your relationship with God, with one another, and with your community; that you may more fully be a beacon of God’s reconciling love.  This can be an adventure to discover more about yourselves, your giftedness, and to step out in faith in expanding your ministry.  What a privilege and honor it is for me to be here with the people of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

Sherry Ferrell

Church Office Administrator

As secretary of LCR, I feel a sense of joy working at the church.  The interaction with the parishioners always make me feel needed and appreciated.  God brought me to the church and I hope to serve him and the people that I encounter through my position

Dalbo Gregori

Traditional Service Music Director

Johann Sebastian Bach wrote, “The final aim and reason of all music is nothing other than the glorification of God and the refreshment of the spirit.” At RLC we strive to glorify God by celebrating the hymns that reflect the rich heritage of our faith in a fresh and vibrant way. Resurrection Singers, Resurrection Ringers, and Instrumentalists join together to lead this traditional worship service at 8:30.

Sarah

Shunk

Children & Youth Leader

As our Youth Activities Coordinator, I am blessed to get to know and work closely with our children, youth, and families. In addition to our wonderful teachers, I so enjoy leading Resurrection Kids during Children’s Church and helping them to grow closer to Jesus through stories, interactive games, projects, and videos. I most enjoy the kindness they exude and hearing their thought-provoking commentary during our lessons. For our Resurrection Students, I so enjoy discussing current events, viewpoints on important matters, and how faith is instrumental in their lives. We are all connected, and I enjoy inspiring our youth to become leaders who go after what they are passionate about while always putting Jesus first. We also have a lot of fun together playing games and doing surprise excursions!

Jerry Montgomery

Contemporary Service Worship Leader

Music has always been my passion since I was a child.  I performed my first solo in church when I was 3 years old, and have been singing and playing music ever since.  Music has a way of ministering to people that is sometimes different than a sermon or scripture.  It tugs at our hearts and appeals to our minds, summoning our innermost emotions and healing our deepest pain.  Prior to joining Resurrection as the Connections Worship Leader, I travelled and sang Southern Gospel music with my family for over 25 years. We recorded several CDs and performed in many venues durint that time.  It is my desire that our Connections Worship Team continues to sing and play with the annointing of the Holy Spirit and that our songs minister to all who hear.
