Growth Groups & Field Trips

Field Trips and Growth Groups
Why Field Trips and Growth Groups:
Field Trips and Growth Groups exist to create environments where we can gather around shared interest, have a Bible study and develop lasting relationships.
Our Mission:
• Connecting together
• Growing together
• Serving together
How they work:
Field Trips are outings that are organized to visit local interesting sites and restaurants. The trips are coordinated for individuals or groups to meet and carpool or travel independently to some or all of the several stops along the day. The participants usually visit a couple locations and meet for a lite meal out. A growth group is a small group (10 to 15 people) who gather around a shared interest, sport, or hobby. These gatherings are held at a predetermined time each week. The group can gather at the church, in someone’s home, or at a neutral location to participate in their common interest (for example: an art group would do an art project or a sports group would practice their sport) and, at some time during the gathering (which lasts 90 minutes), participants would also participate in a Bible or book discussion. The group concludes after 8 weeks. These groups will allow us to better get to know our fellow worshippers and to grow in faith. Growth groups also serve together as a team: perhaps serving as greeters for worship one Sunday. Prior to the fall and spring semesters you will be given the opportunity, both after worship and online, to sign up for a group that interests you. Our Verse: So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, Acts 2:46
