Are you looking for a place to start serving at Resurrection? A great place to start is with our Welcome Team. If you enjoy meeting new people and making them feel welcome as they come to worship this is the place for you. To start serving you can simply mark “welcome team” on your connect card during the service, fill out the contact form on the website, email evangelism@goresurrection.com

or contact the church office @ 321-783-0852 to get started. We will meet with you to train and prepare you. We ask that you serve one Sunday a month or just 12 times a year. We look forward to having you on the team.

Prayer Shawl Ministry members get together in the Ministry Center the 2nd Monday of every month to discuss the needs of making prayer shawls, lap robes, and scarfs. They knit & crochet and are willing to instruct those who are interested in learning during their scheduled monthly meeting. Donated yarn, needles and other supplies are warmly appreciated. If you are interested please phone the church office.  These handmade items are given freely to those in need.  One recipient told us, “I never really felt God’s love until a prayer shawl was wrapped around my shoulders in the hospital.”

With Sari's Friends Pantry, we provide food and hygienic items for needy families once a month and to the homeless whenever we are open. In addition we have resource places for food, healthcare, telephones and food stamp registration services available throughout the county. A representative of the National Veterans Homeless Support is on hand to assist veterans who use the pantry.  Pantry hours are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 10am-12pm.

Each week we collect food for our pantry ministry. The food items for August are:

  • August 7th - Canned Tuna & Chicken

  • August 14th - Jelly and Peanut Butter

  • August 21st - Canned Tomato Sauce & Pasta

  • August 28th Rice & Spam

*We also need bug spray.

Living Hope Homeless Street Outreach is a group of volunteers, led by the pastor, who goes out on the street to encounter, help, and befriend the homeless of Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral.  We always go out on Saturday mornings from 8:45 to 10:00 a.m. the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month.  Those are also days when the pantry and bike shop are open.  That way, we can lead those we meet back to the sources of help available to them at the church.  Since the inception of the program we have encouraged and facilitated 8 of our homeless friends to escape the street.  Please contact the pastor if you would like to be involved.  Some simple training is involved before you go out on the street with us. Contact the church office for more information 321-783-0852

On the first Saturday of each month, immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Café Service in the fellowship hall, we have a potluck supper that we call the “Friends Dinner.”  All clients of the pantry are invited to come out and join the Saturday night congregation in a meal.  Homemade favorites are usually on the menu and there’s plenty for everyone.

At our bike ministry, we accept donations of used primarily adult bikes in any condition. We refurbish them when we can, or if their condition warrants, we remove any usable parts. We then make the bikes available to those in need. Most often the bikes go to people with no other means of transportation. We mark the bikes and record the name of the recipient. We also repair both bikes we have given and others for those in need. The Bike Ministry is open on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of every month from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. We are always looking for people to assist in the repair of bikes.
